Ros is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher and has been teaching yoga in Torquay for over 38 years.

She first studied with Shandor Remeté, Glenn Ceresoli and has studied with BKS Iyengar and family in Pune, India.

Ros has many years experience running women’s workshops and working with pre/post natal yoga as well as therapeutic yoga. She is continuing her studies and commitment to Hatha Yoga.

Over the past twenty five years Ross has dedicated his time to the practice, study and teaching of yoga.

A psychiatric nurse for over twenty years he has also come from a background of surfing, swimming and competitive cycling.

INTRODUCTION TO YOGA

Suitable for students new to yoga, a step by step introduction to basic postures.

BEGINNERS CLASSES

Consolidating standing and seated poses introducing inversions and back bends.

GENERAL / INTERMEDIATE

Consolidating inversions and backbends. Deepening your practice.

We recommend starting with an introduction or beginner class unless you are confident in your practice. Our classes include demonstrations and support to accommodate individual differences in age, health, and injury status. Relaxation techniques boost the immune system, lower blood pressure, and alleviate fatigue. Passive supported postures promote calmness and inner silence, while dynamic postures build strength and endurance.

What sets Iyengar Yoga apart is its focus on precision and alignment in the practice of asana and pranayama, along with innovative sequencing, timing, and the use of props.
